Two students sexually assaulted in early morning incident
Police are searching for four men after two women were sexually assaulted during a violent home invasion in Etobicoke early this morning.
Four masked men, armed with a handgun, machete and knife, entered a Lynmont Rd. home near Finch Avenue W. and Martin Grove Rd. through an open door just before 1 a.m., police said. The house has four apartment-style residences which are rented to students who study at the nearby north campus of Humber College.
A man, 22, and woman, 20, both students, were assaulted and tied up with duct tape while the suspects ransacked the house. Police said the woman was taken to the bathroom where she was sexually assaulted.
The suspects stayed at the home for an hour and a half, and during that time a second female student, 19, came home. She was also tied up and sexually assaulted. They took a bank card and a ring from her, and forced her to reveal her PIN number, police said.
Police are asking area residents to take safety precautions and make sure their doors are locked at all times.
Police say the four suspects are in their late teens to early 20s.
One is 5 foot 10, with a thin build and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark baggy pants and his face was covered with a bandanna.
A second suspect is 5 foot 7 and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and had a dark paisley bandanna covering his face.
The third suspect is 5'10", of medium build, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, and had his face covered with a bandanna.
The fourth male is 6'2", with a slim build, wearing dark baggy clothes, and had his face covered with a black bandanna.
