The Toastmaster International is one of the most powerful organization which helps individual to improve their public speaking skill, e.g. eye contact, facial experession, vocal variety, speech content. Once you reach certain level, you can choose different paths, e.g. technical presentation, business communication, leadship presentation etc.

However, I can not train myself well on impromptu speech. with impromptu speech, i have to walk on talk. there is almost no time to make the sentence better, almost no time to think about the audience's reaction. it is really hard.

However when I have strong believe on something, and i can very easily make an impromptu speech because i can just take the word out of my heart.

From impromptu speech, you can tell person's personality, characters, believe etc.

One thing bugs me a lot is about Obama's speech. When he is going to deliever speech, he always need take time (e.g. Vacation in Hawaii) to prepare it, modify it rehearse it, and make sure everyone like it. for sure, with his well trained presentation skills, he can make inspiration speech, and he did it. I am pround of him too.

But he never be good at impromptu speech which need him to talk from his heart. He is never good at it based on most of debates between him and Hillary which i have watched. It makes me wonder what is going on with the deep value in his heart.

American is electing a good leader, not a good well-trained speaker. I personaly like the leader to be fair, integrated, respected, consistent, and take care of the people. I see it from McCain's experience, but i can not tell it from Obama's well trained speech.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
