Whether a war is justified and necessary is determined by a nation's security need, not by the poll. Most people want the benefits of security and freedom, but don't want to pay any prices for it. If you do a survey on how many people support high taxes, >90% people would say no, even though they enjoy the benefits provided by these taxes
